Bungalow to two-storey home
A project we did back in 2018, and one we’re still very proud of. We took the roof off a bungalow and built it up into a full two-storey house, adding a whole new floor of living space.

Extension questions
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
It depends on the size, type and location. Many single-storey extensions fall under permitted development, but homes in conservation areas or the New Forest are treated differently. Building Regulations approval is separate and needed for most extensions. See our guide to planning permission.

Can I stay at home while you work?
For most extensions, yes. We'll explain in advance which days will be noisy or dusty, and how we'll protect the rest of the house.

It depends on the size and complexity, so we won't guess before we've seen it. Your quote includes a realistic programme.
